Security overview

Synthetic-only validation for payment workflows.

Switchbench is designed for development and validation with synthetic scenarios and synthetic data. It is not intended for live cardholder data, production keys, real PANs, or production payment credentials.

Boundaries

What Switchbench is designed to handle.

Allowed scope

Synthetic personas, synthetic transaction scenarios, policy checks, approval gates, message validation, timing behavior, and replayable evidence for test and review workflows.

Disallowed inputs

Real PANs, production cardholder data, production HSM keys, live payment credentials, or any workflow that depends on production financial movement.

Operational role

Switchbench is a pre-production validation and governance layer. It does not replace formal certification, partner testing, or production readiness processes.

Handling guidance

Security expectations for teams and agents.

Human oversight

AI coding agents can use Switchbench for validation, but human approval remains expected for risky payment changes and release decisions.

Evidence-first review

Use replayable evidence to support QA, architecture, risk, and compliance review without relying on ad hoc screenshots or loosely documented test notes.

Sensitive workflow caution

Security-sensitive workflows should be modeled with synthetic operations and safe test doubles only. Production cryptography and live credential handling stay out of scope.
